Glenn Cunningham, CPA, CFP©, PFS, CGMA

Glenn’s work as a certified public accountant, certified financial planner, and business advisor draws on 25 years of business and over 15 years of accounting and planning experience. He is skilled in tax, retirement, estate, and financial planning, risk analysis, strategic planning, cash flow management, and financial modeling.

Prior to joining Solowitz & Associates in 2021, Cunningham was the managing principal of Nagel & Padilla, LLC, CPAs, business advisors, and financial planners in Ashland, Oregon.

Before entering public accounting in 2005 his professional career was focused on business management and included senior executive positions at, Seattle, Washington; Harry & David, Medford, Oregon; and American Greetings, Cleveland, Ohio.

Glenn holds an MBA with high distinction from the McCallum School of Business at Bentley University, Waltham, Massachusetts, and has completed postgraduate studies in accounting at Seattle University.

Glenn graduated from Hobart College, Geneva, New York with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Art History.

In 2015 Cunningham received the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation from the CFP board for his knowledge of retirement, estate, insurance, tax, and financial planning.
In 2012 Cunningham received the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for his knowledge of finance, strategic planning, operations, risk management, and governance.

Glenn previously served on the boards of the Southern Oregon Humane Society (secretary 2014-2015), Rotary Club of Ashland, Ashland Community Hospital Foundation, the Rogue Valley Symphony (president 2011-2013), and has served on the board, and as treasurer, of Seattle Arts & Lectures. In addition, he has acted as a teaching volunteer with Junior Achievement and has provided no-cost tax assistance through the United Way.

Cunningham has served as adjunct faculty in the MBA and master’s in management programs of the School of Business at Southern Oregon University.

Cunningham is licensed as a CPA in Washington, Oregon, and California is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California CPA Society.
